Katie will work <br />with the Library to find a date in the Fall. <br />• Dates Sept. 15 and Sept. 22nd are still open for possible programs. <br />• Amelie update: Attendance was 103 people and some had to stand It <br />was well advertised and they have a strong following. <br />• RMNP presentation went well. About 40 people. Speakers brought a <br />team for support. The LCC hired a projectionist who brought equipment. <br />• Old Town Cinema (grant). Katie not sure how it went, but early on had 40 <br />advance tickets sold through `Brown Paper Tickets'. <br />• Alfredo Muro sold out with a few tickets sold on the credit card `square'. <br />Fall Events: <br />• No new info on 9-28 Stories on Stage, Oct. 8th (Altius). <br />• Sept 27 Wed. Lecture with Fran Baganel, Pluto (Liz) <br />• Nov. 8th — Leonard David, Mars Lecture (secured) (Debbie) <br />Nov. 11th Silent Film (Tammy) and <br />Nov. 12th Boulder Chamber (25 singers, need tuned piano) (signed <br />contract!) (Liz) <br />Board discussed meeting in sub -committee about clarity on ticket prices <br />including possible changes and advance ticket sales. Gina, Adam and Deb <br />agreed to meet. Goal is to get an actual proposal into the next LCC meeting <br />packet. <br />Summer Concerts: Adam detailed the acts performing on Thursday nights. <br />Three of the concerts will feature a 20 -minute opener. Contracts are <br />complete. Discussion ensued about providing meals for musicians. <br />Suggestions included using the LCC treasury and possibly approaching a <br />restaurant for in-kind donations. We cannot use cash donations collected <br />during the concerts because the LCC needs to deposit and record our <br />donated cash. Logistics for summer concerts will be a part of the May <br />Agenda. <br />Marketing and Communication: We will have ads for summer concerts and <br />we should consider radio PSAs as well. Camera, Boulder Weekly, Hometown <br />Weekly and maybe CO Daily. Katie and Blake will finalize soon. Blake and <br />Adam will meet to discuss radio promotions. <br />Staff Update Katie spoke about the Memory Square Park pool being renovated. <br />The current entrance including the part attached to the Arts Center will come <br />down and the area will be an open air with increased patio space. <br />-- For review -- <br />
