Louisville Police Department 2017-2021 Master Plan <br />Implementation and Next Steps <br />With the adoption of this Master Plan, LPD commits to the initiatives outlined. Some <br />action steps will require additional funding. As a result, full implementation of the <br />Police Master Plan is contingent on City Council approving the funding needed and will <br />take place over a number of years to spread out budgetary and other related impacts. <br />LPD is already moving ahead with many of the recommendations in the Master Plan <br />that do not require additional funding or staff. Progress will be reviewed, and <br />accomplishments reflected as part of the annual budget process. LPD's efforts will <br />complement City Council Goals. <br />2016 Council Goals for Public Safety and Justice <br />"Police and other City staff working with the community to help ensure safety; satisfy <br />residents' expectations that individuals observe the City's Municipal Code and State <br />Law; and the justice system is fair, effective and efficient." <br />Executive Summary Page 5 <br />
