RESOLUTION NO. 35 <br />SERIES 2017 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL PLAT, FINAL PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT AND SPECIAL REVIEW USE FOR A 44,600 SQUARE FOOT <br />EXPANSION TO THE EXISTING 57,400 SQUARE FOOT CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />RECREATION CENTER FACILITY LOCATED AT 900 VIA APPIA <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Planning Commission an <br />application for approval of a request for of a Final Plat, a Final Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) and Special Review Use (SRU) for a 44,600 sq. ft. expansion to <br />the existing 57,400 sq. ft. City of Louisville Recreation Center facility located at 900 Via <br />Appia; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff has reviewed the information submitted and found that <br />the application complies with the Louisville zoning and subdivision regulations and other <br />applicable sections of the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on June 8, 2017, where evidence <br />and testimony were entered into the record, including the findings in the Louisville <br />Planning Commission Staff Report dated June 8, 2017, the Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the application to City Council with the following conditions: <br />1. Prior to the City Council hearing, the applicant shall amend the plans to provide a <br />continuous pedestrian connection between the Via Appia sidewalk and the new <br />sidewalk along the west side of the parking lot. <br />2. Prior to the City Council hearing, the applicant shall comply with all Louisville Fire <br />Protection District requirements and comment in the March 28, 2017 review <br />letter. <br />3. Prior to the City Council hearing, the applicant shall comply with all Public Works <br />Department requirements and comment in the May 26, 2017 review letter; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed the application, including the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission and finds that said PUD Amendment <br />should be approved with no conditions. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado does hereby approve a Final Plat, a Final Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) and Special Review Use (SRU) for a 44,600 sq. ft. expansion to <br />the existing 57,400 sq. ft. City of Louisville Recreation Center facility located at 900 Via <br />Appia, subject to the condition that there be included elsewhere on-site an additional <br />amount of trees/shrubs commensurate with the amount of perimeter tree/shrubs <br />excluded from perimeter rights-of-way pursuant to the waiver approved for CDDSG <br />Section 5.1.E. <br />Resolution No.35, Series 2017 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
