Cityot
im Louisville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
BUSINESS RETENTION AND
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
SUBJECT:
DATE:
BRAD DISCUSSION REGARDING TOPICS OF INTEREST
JUNE 5,2017
PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
As a newly formed BRaD Committee, members may have topics of interest they would
like the Committee to research, discuss, and provide recommendations to the City
Council. This discussion will help staff organize future meetings by preparing
background information to help form discussions, schedule presentations by City
Departments on issues, and coordinate outside speakers on topics.
There are likely many topics and members have mentioned a few including;
5 year vision setting. How do we want Louisville's business community to look in
5yrs?
Strategies to encourage further business diversification.
o For example, revenue scenario planning - what happens if a grocer
closes? What happens if Erie gets a Home Depot? etc.
Updating marketing brochures
Walkthrough of the development review process. What does it take for a project
to go from an idea to a Certificate of Occupancy?
I'm sure there are many other topics of interest so please bring ideas to discuss at the
next meeting.
