L
Cityof
Louisville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
Memorandum
To: Historical Commission
From: Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator
Date: June 27, 2017
Re: Museum Coordinator's Report
I'm happy to report that the two paid Museum interns have recently started in their positions.
Jason Hogstad is the Visitor Services Intern to help with summer visitors and Art Walks, while
Kelsey Smith is the Oral History Intern working on the Museum's Oral History Program.
Local sign painter Ed Helmstead is just finishing up with painting some of the signage on the
Museum exterior. New awnings to replace the old ones, which are deteriorated, will soon be
installed at the front.
Like we did last year, the Museum staff will open the Museum immediately after the Labor Day
Parade.
The Summer issue of Boulder Magazine includes a reprint of my 2014 article about how Dick
Del Pizzo made the Replica of Louisville that the public can see at the Museum.
A City Council study session with the Historical Commission has been scheduled for Tuesday,
July 25tH
Museum Visitors Report (these statistics represent visits to the Museum itself, and not inquiries that
come in by email or phone): April visitors: 180; May visitors: 340; YTD: 1109.
