Citvor
si
ou
LLousville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
redesigned to accommodate a proposed future trail
alignment running parallel to Hwy 42. The proposed
future trail alignment would be similar in character to
the existing trail running parallel to Hwy42 on the east
side of Coal Creek. PPLAB CONCURS WITH THE
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
2) From the Park and Rec Department's perspective it is
assumed there will be no maintenance responsibilities
conveyed to the City for action by the department.
PPLAB CONCURS WITH THE STAFF
RECOMMENDATION
3) Realign the access road where it goes into easement
area 2 to provide a safe and code compliant
intersection where the access road intersects CTC
Blvd. Incorporate retaining wall(s) as necessary to
improve access but also to provide additional
screening of vehicles and the building. PPLAB HAS
NO COMMENT ON THE RECOMMENDATION
4) PPLAB LANDSCAPE COMMENTS: Gateway signage
would be accompanied by standard plantings as those
standards become determined by the City. More
drought tolerant plantings recommended. The Board
would like to see more thought-out plantings with
consistency, i.e.: if a dryland planting palette is used
then have that palette carried out throughout the
project.
VIII. Bullhead Gulch Underpass Design Presentation,
Cameron Fowlkes, Civil Engineer III: Action requested:
Parks and Rec Dept. staff are requesting review and
comment by PPLAB for the following: PPLAB PREFERS
OPTION #2 (STRAIGHT ENTRANCE). Parks and Rec
Depart Staff only recommends native grass on both the
east and west side of the underpass.
