Louisville City Council Meeting <br />January 20, 2004 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br /> <br />De <br /> <br />Approval of Amendment to Professional Services Agreement with <br />Rothberg, Tamburini and Winsor for Centrifuge Equipment Evaluation <br />Resolution No. 3, Series 2004 - A Resolution Amending Membership for <br />the Louisville Historical Commission <br />Approval of Arts Center Bell Tower Capital Improvement Project <br />Authorization to Advertise for Bids on Capital Projects <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Peter Stewart, 1132 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, CO, addressed the desire of local <br />citizens to participate in community television. He stated several residents are interested <br />in airing local programs on the community cable television. He described problems they <br />experienced working with the cable company. He stated the group has come forward to <br />introduce themselves to Council and ask for Council support. <br /> <br />Doug Grinbergs, 530 W. Sycamore Circle, expressed his concern over a newspaper <br />article relative to open government. He felt all meetings should be open to the public, <br />and work sessions recorded or videotaped for citizen review. He also suggested a written <br />guide that would assist citizens in understanding their rights and responsibilities. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk addressed the public television issue and stated he looks forward to <br />discussions with ComCast Cable TV, concerning programming for citizen participation. <br />He offered an opportunity to work with the citizen group at a future work session. He <br />addressed Mr. Grinbergs concern and stated all meetings are open to the public. <br /> <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />None. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br /> RECOGNITION OF OUTGOING CITY TREASURER BILL HESSON <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk recognized and thanked Bill Hesson for his service as City Treasurer and <br />presented him with a plaque commemorating his 34 years of service and a gift. <br /> <br />Bill Hesson thanked the citizens of Louisville for their support and the opportunity to <br />serve them. <br /> <br /> COUNCIL CONSIDERATION OF A SEVEN-MEMBER LIBRARY BOARD <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk explained the state statute allows from a five to seven member Library <br />Board. He requested Council consideration on a resolution to allow seven members on <br />the Louisville Library Board of Trustees. <br /> <br /> <br />
