Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 6, 2004 <br />Page 4 of 10 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk stated the firm comes with very high credentials and he was confident the <br />contract would be executed within two weeks. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Council authorize engaging Wember, Inc. as the <br />Project Manager/Owner's Representative for the new Louisville Public Library and <br />further authorize the Mayor to negotiate and execute a professional services contract with <br />Wember, Inc., for same, seconded by Council member Marsella. Roll call vote was <br />taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Council member Brown stressed the importance of building an energy efficient library. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - AMENDMENT TO THE FABER <br /> ANNEXATION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Mr. Waldman requested a two to four-week continuance to deal with concerns raised by <br />two of his neighbors. He explained he circulated a petition in the neighborhood and <br />acquired 67 signatures, however, had not contracted the two in question. He and his <br />architect would meet with those two neighbors to address their concerns. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk suggested continuing the matter to the May 4, 2004 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved that Council continue the Amendment to the <br />Faber Annexation Agreement to May 4, 2004, seconded by Council member Keany. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Dean Leffingwell, 1899 Continental View Drive, Louisville, CO explained he lives north <br />of the Walman residence and was not aware of Mr. Waldman's plans to subdivide. He <br />stated he does not support the proposal. <br /> <br />Gay Barnes, 225 Continental View Drive, Louisville, CO stated she is a neighbor of the <br />Waldman's and had no knowledge of the previous City Council meeting when the <br />Waldman request was discussed. She also did not support the proposal. She said she <br />planned to meet with Mr. Waldman and his architect tomorrow. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor. <br /> <br />PRELIMINARY FINDINGS - VIA APPIA TRAFFIC OPERATIONS STUDY <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Tom Phare reported that earlier this year the City retained Carter <br />Burgess to review the Via Appia Corridor traffic operations. Specifically the work was <br />to address the need for signalization and pedestrian crossing facilities. He introduced <br />David Woolford of Carter Burgess, who presented the findings and recommendations. <br /> <br /> <br />
