Tree preservation: Per Dean, Chris will email to HFAB members the <br />link for Boulder's tree preservation ordinance. <br />VII. Landscape maintenance: See section V. <br />VIII. Arboretum <br />Pergola construction is nearing completion, should be finished on about Sept. 15. <br />The 501(c)(3) draft has been completed, and will be filed with the state to <br />process. <br />Tree identification signage: No report. <br />Discussion of xeric garden maintenance and responsibility among various <br />departments. Also mentioned were various sources for tree purchases for <br />Arboretum; policy for selection of tree suppliers; and budget for tree purchases. <br />IX. Website: Chris has placed on the website information about the walnut <br />tree "thousand cankers disease." <br />X. Library: Dean mentioned Colorado Tree Coalition has a list of many <br />qualified speakers who may be available for library or other board-sponsored <br />presentations. Dean and Joe both talked about some of their experiences with <br />writing grants, suggested that funds are available through many sources. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:30. <br />
