Sec. 17.16.180. Temporary uses. <br />A. Permitted uses. The following; uses of land are permitted in the designated <br />zoning districts subject to the applicable regulations of the district in which <br />the use is located, and subject tc~ the following regulations: <br />6. Dumpsters, roll-offs and :able storage units: <br />a. Definitions: A "dumpster" means a metal container of one cubic yard <br />or more in size located outside and used to store refuse garbage trash <br />rubbish, yard waste, construction waste or similar materials. A <br />"portable storage container" means any container, pod or unit rented <br />or owned by the owner or occupant of the property that is desi ed to <br />hold household items and to be transported to and stored by a rivate <br />moving or storage com.pany at a centralized storage warehouse or <br />facility. A "roll-off' means any container neither permanently <br />attached to a motor vehicle nor designed to be drawn behind a motor <br />vehicle, having a capacity volume of at least ten cubic yards located <br />outside and used to store refuse, ag rbage trash rubbish yard waste <br />construction waste, or similar materials. <br />b. Districts permitted: All zone districts by tem orarv use ermit. <br />c. Time restriction: Not Ito exceed 30 days in any 12-month period <br />except that roll-off and dumpster permits may be renewed for one or <br />more 30-day extensions if use thereof is incident to an active building <br />permit properly issued by the city for the property <br />d. Location; scope of use: No dumpster, roll-off or portable stora e unit <br />may be located in andvision clearance area or any sight-restriction <br />area required to be left open for visibilit~p___pr oses. No dumpster roll- <br />off or portable storage unit .may be permitted or used as an accessory <br />structure. <br />Section 6. Section 17.16.190 of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled "Mobile <br />homes, trailers and commercial vehicles," is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be <br />added are underlined; words to be deleted acre ~tr~°'~°r *'~r°~~~-'~): <br />Sec. 17.16.190.
