IU Cityof <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, August 3, 2017 <br />Louisville City Services <br />739 S. 104th St. <br />7:00 PM <br />Roll Call: The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by Ellen Toon. In <br />attendance were Board members: Ellen Toon, Mark Newland, Billy O'Donnell, <br />Keaton Howe, Diana Gutkowski, and Shelly Alm. City Councilwoman Susan Loo, <br />Staff Liaison Dean Johnson, and Parks Project Manager, Allan Gill were also <br />present. <br />Also in attendance were: Travis Sommervold and Althea Winslow from <br />Designscapes, Kelley Savaee with Robert Peccia and Associates, and resident <br />Mark Cathcart. <br />II. Approval of Agenda: Motion to approve by Ellen Toon and Second by Billy <br />O'Donnell with unanimous approval. <br />III. Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve by Billy O'Donnell, Second by Mark <br />Newland and unanimous approval. <br />Iv. Staff Updates: Dean Johnson reported that a memorial bench and trees have <br />been donated to the Arboretum. Also, City Forester will be hosting an upcoming <br />pruning event this fall at the Arboretum. <br />v. Board Updates: Ellen Toon updated the board about the Mayor's Walk last <br />month, which was a great success. Susan Loo updated the Board about the City <br />Manager recruiting process. <br />vi. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Mark Cathcart, a <br />resident from the North End subdivision of Louisville, notified the Board that the <br />North End residents are pursuing the creation of a park through their HOA. They <br />plan on beginning official meetings to create the park within a few weeks. <br />VII. Heritage Park Playground Review: Travis and Althea presented their <br />resident surveys from the Heritage Park Playground meeting.
