Motion <br />APPOINTMENT - CITY ATTORNEY Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Leary <br />Curt Rautenstraus seconded that Curt Rautenstraus be appointed <br />as City Attorney. Question called for. <br />All in favor, Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Meier instructed Mr. Rautenstraus to <br />take his chair at the council table. <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />ORDINANCE #819 - NO SMOKING Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance <br />AT PUBLIC MEETINGS and Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title <br />only on first reading. <br />PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Luce <br />AND PUBLIC HEARING SET seconded that Ordinance #819 - No Smoking <br />At public Meetings be published and that <br />a public hearing be set for February 7, 1984. <br />Councilwoman Morris Comrnented that. the ordinance did not state <br />Court to be Included than this should include court sessions. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that this could <br />be added on second reading so that it would <br />be clarified totally for the public hearing. <br />Councilman Cussen Comrnented that he would request that all <br />members of Council and the audience please <br />abide by the no smoking rule. <br />Vote on the Motion Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3 Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />MAYOR PRO-TEM FAUSON and Mayor Meier read it in its entirety, then <br />presented it to Mayor Pro-tem Fauson. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4 Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />DONALD CUNNINGS and Mayor Meier read it in its entirety. <br />In ithe absence of Councilman Cummings presented <br />it ito Mr. Fauson. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5 Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution; <br />DENNIS FERRERA Mayor Meier read it in its entirety and pre- <br />senited it to Mr. Fauson in Ferrera's absence. <br />Herm Fauson Sta~~ted on behalf of Dennis Ferrera, Don Cum- <br />mings and himself thanked the Mayor and members <br />of Council.
