11/'20/84 <br />Page -7- <br />Councilmembers Luce, Johnson, Cussen and <br />Mayor Meier preferred the combination 2@ <br />sales tax and 22% use tax ballot question. <br />VOTE ON THE MOTION 6 Ayes - 1 Nay. Councilman Leary dissenting. <br />Motion carried 6-1. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREE- Acting City Administrator Rupp stated that <br />MENT/AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO SIGN Council had acted on this agreement at the <br />la:~t meeting and Lafayette and Louisville <br />haci signed the agreement. The Boulder County <br />Attorney in the interim has made some word <br />moc~ifications and Attorney Rautenstraus under- <br />lined these in the agreement provided to <br />councilmembers. <br />Councilwoman Johnson Con:unented that she noticed a For Sale sign <br />on the property just east of Highway 42 <br />and inquired if this was property included <br />in the agreement. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that the pro- <br />perty was included in Exhibit A of the agree- <br />. meat; but it did not stop a private property <br />owner from selling the property if he wishes <br />to do so. It is in Boulder County and zoned <br />light-industrial. <br />Ati~orney Rautenstraus advised that the changes <br />to the agreement were on pages 3 and 4 and <br />were underlined. <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR MAYOR Councilman Luce moved, Councilman Cussen <br />TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT seconded that the Mayor be authorized to <br />sign the Intergovernmental Agreement between <br />La:~ayette, Louisville, and Boulder County. <br />A1:1 in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RECESS Mayor Meier called a recess at 8:42 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 8:54 P.M. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />ORDINANCE N0. 847 - CENTEN- Co~uncilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; <br />NIAL VALLEY SUBDIVISION Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only <br />FILING #2 - PUBLIC HEARING on second reading and public hearing and <br />certified proper publication. <br />Mayor Meier opened the public hearing and <br />Attorney Rautenstraus certified proper publi- <br />cation of the public hearing notices. <br />
