City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 5, 2017 <br />Page 9 of 18 <br />with public input and more conversation about other possible locations and possible <br />uses <br />Councilmember Loo asked what the plans are for storing them outdoors. Mayor Muckle <br />stated he would like to see phase 1a and 1 b completed which would weatherproof <br />them <br />Director Zuccaro stated 1 a and 1 b would be a total of $85,319 for moving and exterior <br />rehabilitation. <br />Joel Sydlow, Summit Construction, stated they would be comfortable working with the <br />City on any of these phases He proposed 1a and 1 b to protect them for the winter or <br />even just la if that is the case. He noted a willingness to work with volunteers. <br />Councilmember Stolzmann supported just completing 1 a and covering them for <br />protection without doing full rehabilitation for this winter. <br />Councilmember Keany supported 1 a as long as the cabins are protected for the winter <br />in some way and structurally sound. If volunteers are used, we need to know what staff <br />costs would be needed to manage the project and if time is available. <br />Councilmember Leh agreed with just la to move and stabilize, don't do full rehabilitation <br />until know what the Tong -term plan is <br />Councilmember Loo asked if just la has volunteers included. Director Zuccaro stated <br />no, that is the physical moving of the structures Councilmember Loo re -stated doing <br />phasel a and no volunteers <br />Mayor Muckle asked Joel Sydlow, if no rehab is done, what would he do. Mr Sydlow <br />stated a Tyvek wrap or something similar for the winter. <br />Motion- Councilmember Maloney moved to approve phase la, moving to location <br />chosen by the City staff and weatherizing for the winter. Mayor Muckle seconded. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Lipton asked when site review needed to be done. Mayor Muckle stated <br />he supported Councilmember Stolzmann's suggestion that after the election the <br />Historical Commission and HPC weigh in on sites Mayor Pro Tem Lipton stated site <br />evaluation should be kept in as an alternate in the contract. Mayor Muckle suggested <br />approval of the entire contract with provisions to give notice to proceed with 1 a and <br />weathenzation and then go ahead with each section as needed or not <br />City Attorney Light noted the motion on table is to approve a contract for moving the <br />cabins (la) with weatherizing added. An alternative would be to approve entire contract <br />with notices to proceed or termination at certain points in time. He suggested the <br />
