He felt it was important that this be brought out because the City has the contractural rights to get this particular piece of property from the owners while the Fire Protection District does .not. This is the reason the request was coming to Council - not Homart directly. They have had some discussions with Homart and they are very reluctant to say they would give the District a couple more acres because in their Agreement that land is to come to the City. Mayor Meier Formally asked the staff to work with the Louisville Fire Protection District and Homart on that other parcel of ground. CLINCIA CAMPESINA - FUNDING Councilmem~ers had copies of letters from REQUEST AND REQUEST FOR Clinica Campesina, Pauline Romano, Executive LETTER OF SUPPORT Director for these two requests. Councilwoman Morris Commented that it was her understanding that the funding request of $3,000 was for Council's budget consideration for 1985. What they are requesting this evening was a letter from the City indicating that we have supported the Clinica in the past; that we feel they are an appropriate agency; and that we would encourage businesses and agencies whomever they should choose to solicit for support in ~>urchasing their building that we are also showing our support. LETTER OF SUPPORT Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Luce seconded that: staff prepare a letter of support for funding for the Clinica Campensia building. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Meier also stated that their funding request letter would be kept for the budget cycle. WATERING RESTRICTIONS - Councilmembers had a copy of a memo from AUTHORIZE CHANGES Director Karl Kasch of an update and recom- mendations for a change in watering hours for high zone subdivisions. Mr. Kasch stated that the 3-2-1 OFF program must still be in force to cut our current consumption down by 33% so that we can save operating levels until the pre-treatment and other hydraulic improvements are completed.
