7/5/84 Page -6- Councilman Leary Staged the primary matters are to discuss sevE~rence pay and compensation. Councilmembers Cussen and Mayor Meier moved, Councilwoman Johnson Fauson Designated seconded that Councilmembers Cussen and Fauson be designated to discuss severence pay and com~>ensation with Mr. Wurl. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilwoman Morris Commented one other item she felt needed to be discussed is the process Council wished to 0o tthrough in finding a permanent City Adminis- trator. Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that we request Councilman Cussen, and Councilman Luce to come back to Council with a recommendation of how they feel that process should be conducted. Councilman Luce Commented he would certainly like to have some guidelines but would not want 2 weeks to be lost in the process. He would prefer that. Council discuss their personal philos- ophies as to what we think ought to happen. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Council discussed that there should be pro- fessional expertise employed to obtain some- one from a national search, giving the salary range, the time frame expected, and not too expensive. Councilmen Cussen and Luce to come back with their recommendation to Council at the July 17th meeting. Councilman Luce Stated that he felt that Mr. Rupp should re- ceive renumeration for the extra services he is being asked to provide. Councilmembers Fauson and Cussen to come back to Council at the July 17th with their recommendation on this. ADJOURNMENT Councilwoman Morris moved, Mayor Meier seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Meeting ad- journed at 9:25 P.M.
