7/5/84 Page -6- <br />Councilman Leary Staged the primary matters are to discuss <br />sevE~rence pay and compensation. <br />Councilmembers Cussen and Mayor Meier moved, Councilwoman Johnson <br />Fauson Designated seconded that Councilmembers Cussen and Fauson <br />be designated to discuss severence pay and <br />com~>ensation with Mr. Wurl. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Morris Commented one other item she felt needed to <br />be discussed is the process Council wished to <br />0o tthrough in finding a permanent City Adminis- <br />trator. <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that we request Councilman Cussen, <br />and Councilman Luce to come back to Council <br />with a recommendation of how they feel that <br />process should be conducted. <br />Councilman Luce Commented he would certainly like to have <br />some guidelines but would not want 2 weeks <br />to be lost in the process. He would prefer <br />that. Council discuss their personal philos- <br />ophies as to what we think ought to happen. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council discussed that there should be pro- <br />fessional expertise employed to obtain some- <br />one from a national search, giving the salary <br />range, the time frame expected, and not too <br />expensive. Councilmen Cussen and Luce to <br />come back with their recommendation to Council <br />at the July 17th meeting. <br />Councilman Luce Stated that he felt that Mr. Rupp should re- <br />ceive renumeration for the extra services <br />he is being asked to provide. <br />Councilmembers Fauson and Cussen to come <br />back to Council at the July 17th with their <br />recommendation on this. <br />ADJOURNMENT Councilwoman Morris moved, Mayor Meier seconded <br />that the meeting be adjourned. Meeting ad- <br />journed at 9:25 P.M. <br />
