Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:31 pm <br />by Allison Johanson. Minutes taken by Mark Persichetti. <br />a. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Jamie Bartlett, Dan Delahunty, Allison <br />Johanson, Mary Ann Heaney, Marianne Martin, Mark Persichetti, Justine Vigil -Tapia; <br />City -Staff Liaison Dave Szabados, City -Council Liaison Jay Keany, City Sustainability - <br />Specialist Erika Archer; Residents Doug Grinbergs, R J Harrington, and Laura Levesque <br />b. Approval of Current Meeting's Agenda: Approved, but with Item II to be delayed <br />until Lea Yancey can attend our October meeting. <br />c. Approval of August 16, 2017 Meeting Minutes: Meeting -minutes approved as -is. <br />d. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />Doug Grinbergs noted September is Pollinator Awareness Appreciation Month, and urged <br />Louisville to commit to pollinator -friendly parks and open spaces; and to plant xeriscape <br />gardens. He also noted we have public drinking fountains that can't be used to fill water <br />bottles, and urged we replace them with more suitable units. We still have many day - <br />burning lights in town — that will be an issue for Xcel to cover. Who and how to contact <br />property managers about problems with their sites at night? The Library has an inter- <br />active display that's not working. He commended the work to develop our Sustainability <br />Action Plan (SAP). And he noted the old Storage-Tek/Conoco-Phillips site is being <br />promoted as an option for the proposed new Amazon headquarters. <br />Laura Levesque stated she's been interested in the development of our SAP, and wants <br />to follow its progress. <br />R J Harrington also commented on the SAP, and wondered how it may apply to some of <br />the City's flooded areas (Sept -2013 flood). <br />e. Jay's Minute: In Jay's absence, Dave S and Erika A updated us on City -staff and <br />City -Council items. <br />f. Dave's Minute: Regarding some of the public comments (above), Dave mentioned <br />some contacts for Xcel, and noted the Parks Dept should be contacted about repairing/ <br />replacing drinking fountains. He stated the recent repaving work along Dillon Rd includes <br />the addition of a bike lane. He noted implementing all the Rec-Center's proposed up- <br />grades may result in a $3-M budget over -run.
