Cto <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO - SINCE h 78 <br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />July 25, 2017 <br />City Council Chambers <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br />The City Council met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers at <br />749 Main St., Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present: <br />City Council Present: Mayor Bob Muckle <br />Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Lipton <br />Council member Susan Loo <br />Council member Dennis Maloney <br />Council member Ashley Stolzmann <br />Staff Present: Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />Beth Barrett, Library Director <br />Bridget Bacon, Historical Museum Coordinator <br />Dawn Burgess, Executive Assistant to the City <br />Manager <br />Members of Public <br />Call to Order— The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Mayor Muckle <br />Presentation — Museum Conceptual Plan Update <br />Mayor Muckle asked Mike Roybal, Ron Roybal and Trevor Hill of Roybal <br />Corporation Architects to present conceptual design for the Historical Museum <br />and Visitor Center. They followed guiding principles of the Historic Preservation <br />Masterplan, Museum Campus Master Plan, Downtown Design handbook and <br />Municipal Code. <br />Mike Roybal showed examples of how other cities have dealt with additions to <br />historic structures. One guiding principle of Roybal's design was to make sure <br />the campus is ADA accessible so people could circulate without any <br />obstructions. They tried to use visual cues from what was in the location <br />originally. <br />They tabulated functions for the campus's program to make sure the design <br />would meet the requisites of the project.
