City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 17, 2017 <br />Page 14 of 15 <br />Staff will bring the item back to the 11/6 meeting. <br />Councilmember Leh stated each community will have a different resolution and that is <br />fine and this will be continually reevaluated. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Lipton stated that with some other changes, he can accept the 12%. <br />Mayor Muckle stated he does want to include some language that we support the <br />county wide plan. <br />Councilmember Maloney likes how Councilmember Loo's version ties this to the comp <br />plan <br />Councilmember Leh stated he would like to think more in terms of encouraging and <br />supporting the County and that all communities are reevaluating this issue and how we <br />can contribute to this. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1749, SERIES 2017 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER <br />9.72 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING SIGNAGE IN LIQUOR <br />LICENSED ESTABLISHMENTS — 1ST READING — SET PUBLIC HEARING 11/06/17 <br />City Attorney Light introduced the ordinance by title on first reading. Mayor Muckle <br />moved to approve Ordinance No. 1749, Series 2017 on first reading, send it out for <br />publication and set the public hearing and second reading for November 6, 2017; <br />Councilmember Stolzmann seconded. Voice vote: All in favor. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Attorney Light reported the ballots will be mailed this week; residents can contact the <br />County Clerk's office if you don't receive one. <br />He noted he will be offering open government training for boards and commissions the <br />next two weeks. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF <br />FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS <br />Councilmember Stolzmann reported the DRCOG board will be meeting tomorrow. They <br />will be appointing a new executive director Doug Rex, the current interim director. They <br />will be discussing changing the national highway designation for Pena Blvd and project <br />delays. She noted DRCOG is moving to a new building. <br />Councilmember Stolzmann asked Council if there is interest in a special meeting to <br />discuss Broomfield's request for an oil and gas letter or let it pass with no response. <br />Councilmember Leh supported a meeting. <br />30 <br />
