Defers the decision to remove the two native cottonwood trees <br />Some cons for alternative # 2 <br />A. Additional cost and monitoring by the City as the trees continue to decline <br />B. Mitigates but does not eliminate the safety and liability concerns <br />C. This alternative could set a precedent to implement similar action to save other <br />cottonwood trees that are also in decline <br />RECOMMENDATION: As stated above, staff recommends removal of the trees to <br />address public safety concerns.
