He does not feel the signal goes <br />far enough; does not feel it will provide economic development. DeJong stated the Short <br />Street intersection is to receive a fully signalized intersection with pedestrian push <br />buttons. Commissioner Menaker said an underpass and overpass have been explored. <br />Underpass not feasible because we don't own the land necessary. Overpass, he has <br />been told by consultants, would not be used. And LRC can only cure blight. <br />Commissioner Tofte said Boulder County has been inflexible on use of open space. <br />Commissioner Lathrop said this has been on his list for a long time.
