Staff Updates: The City will be moving forward with the dog
waste pickup pilot project for Community Park dog park and
Davidson Mesa off lease area (DOLA). Sue reminded the Board
that board members cannot miss more than 25% of the
meetings or they will be removed from the board. Council
would like to see PPLAB and OSAB work together on additional
dog parks or off lease areas and improvements to existing
DOLA. Council will be establishing their goals for 2018 and the
city budget starting for 2019. PPLAB will want to keep this in
mind as we determine our goals and what we'd like to present
to council. Joe gave an update regarding the declining
cottonwood trees by the Rec Center/Senior Center and said
the insurance company has asked for a second party appraisal
by an independent outside agency. If that agency also
recommends removal then the City would go forward with the
removal. There has been new zoning for bee keeping.
