z. a <br />~~`' <br />i~ ~~ r <br />~:~= <br />Resource Conservation <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 15, 2008 <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mark Perchetti called the meeting to order at 6:45 <br />p.m. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Annie Hughes, Richard Smith, Beth Armbruster <br />Board Members Absent: Jenny B., Victor Goldstein, Ryan Hughes. <br />Staff Members Present: Dave Clabots, Tom Phare <br />Approval of Agenda -The agenda was approved by all members. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -The minutes from June 9, 2008 and July 14, <br />2008 meetings were approved as written. There was no quorum for the August <br />11th meeting and therefore there were no minutes to approve. <br />Public Comments - Guest :Jeff Doolittle brought discussion noting city can do <br />more to decrease cost by zeroscaping medians and decrease watering, and <br />would like to see improved flow of traffic along So. Boulder Rd. Tom Phare <br />responded and explained the city has a timing program in place already. Rich <br />pointed out that he knew of several types of hearty plants that might do well in <br />medians and agreed to contact Joe Stevens of the Parks Department. Jeff <br />Doolittle wanted to know how the city can increase bicycle and pedestrian usage <br />in town. Discussed improvements along Highway 42 that urban renewal will <br />address during revitalization to the area. <br />General Discussion Topics: <br />Discussion was held regarding update to PAYT program. There will be an <br />informational meeting, Tuesday September - w/ the Trash Haulers to answer <br />questions. Council will consider proposals by November 17th, with <br />implementation by March/April '09. RFP is available on line.
