Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />October 15, 2008 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />members and other volunteers while on Commission or Historical Museum <br />business. <br />The Commission approved the use of the form with the stipulation that the <br />requested reimbursement be for more than $10 and less than $50, and the <br />form is to be signed by both the Treasurer and the Chair. Reimbursement will <br />be made by the Treasurer. The reimbursement rate will be the same rate as <br />that used by the City. The form also is to be used in the event that the mileage <br />reimbursement being requested is more than $50, but it must be additionally <br />approved by the Commission at a Commission meeting prior to reimbursement. <br />VII. Executive Director's Report <br />A. There are three vacancies on the Historical Commission. Letters of interest are <br />due on November 3`d <br />B. Open Government Training is on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00 PM and <br />Thursday, November 6th at 8:30 AM. Both sessions will be in City Council <br />Chambers. Members are required to attend once every two years. Donna <br />Hauswald, Alice Koerner, Diane Marino, Pat Seader and Colleen <br />Vandendriessche need to attend training. Training will be offered again in the <br />spring. <br />VIII. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from Donors <br />1. Virginia Caranci: ashtray from the Wagon Wheel Inn and St. Christopher <br />medal from Henning Mortuaries <br />2. Kathy McDonald: hat pins <br />3. Gail Wetrogan: ninety issues of The Louisville Times, 1978-1979 <br />4. Barbara Stahr: books and clothing from the Viola Owens estate <br />5. Alice Koerner: menu and matchbook from Senor T's Restaurant <br />6. Grace Dionigi: items relating to Peter and Laura Zarini and to Louisville's <br />World War II history <br />B. Correspondence and News Coverage -The Louisville Historical Museum <br />Campus was recently featured in Boulder Magazine. <br />C. Visitor's Report and Tours <br />1. Visitors: September: 230, Year-to-Date: 1,199 <br />2. Tours: Three large tours are scheduled for the next few weeks <br />D. Activity Report <br />1. Bridget Bacon, Virginia Caranci, and Don Ross contacted Senor T's <br />Restaurant about possible donations <br />2. Bridget contacted the Fred McNulty estate about possible donations <br />3. Tour guide training session will take place at the Museum on Saturday, <br />October 18tH <br />4. Sales Tax Report: $24 in sales tax was collected for the State of Colorado <br />and $16 for the City of Louisville on sales of $769 for the third quarter of <br />2008. <br />5. Deadline for articles for the fall Louisville Historian is Friday, October 24tH <br />
