~1 ~'1L ~ s <br />n ~~ <br />~~ ~~` ~ Reso~~rce Conservation <br />City of Louisville Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />14 April 2008 <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mark F'ersichetti called the meeting to order at 6:45 <br />pm at the City Council Chambers. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Beth Armbuster, Mark Persichetti, Jenny Braus, <br />Annie Hughs, Ryan Hughes, Richard Smith, Victor Goldberg <br />Board Members Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Torn Phare <br />Guests: Michelle Krezek, Environmental Affairs Director for the Board of <br />County Commissioners, and Jim Logan, a Boulder County architect and <br />builder. <br />Approval of Agenda -Agenda was approved. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -March meeting minutes were approved. <br />Public Comments -None. <br />Presentation by Michelle Krezek and Jim Logan regarding the Boulder <br />County BuildSmart program - <br />• The provisions of the BuildSmarl: program approved by Boulder County <br />Commissioners were described ,along with the rational for its adoption and its <br />perceived benefits. <br />• The purpose of BuildSmart is promote and encourage high performing <br />sustainable development and redevelopment in the unincorporated areas of <br />Boulder County through education, regulation, and incentives. <br />The BuildSmart program has mandatory elements covering <br />• Deconstruction <br />• Waste reduction and recycling <br />• Energy conservation/efficienc;y, renewable energy and carbon emissions <br />City of Louisville <br />Public Works Department i'49 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4608 (phone) 303..335.4738 (fax) www.ci.louisville.co.us <br />
