~ DBE CONSULTING SERVICES <br />2008 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />HIGHLIGHTS & LOWLIGHTS <br />Thanks to the efforts ofBRaD, City staff, and City Council, the City of Louisville <br />accomplished the following in 2008: <br />• 66 businesses (including home based businesses) were licensed in Louisville <br />between January 1 and November 16, 2008. <br />0 21 are home based or individual businesses <br />0 21 are corporations <br />0 19 are limited liability companies <br />0 5 are partnerships <br />• Numerous press articles on Conoco Phillips move to Louisville <br />• Gaiam announced relocation of their corporate headquarters from Broomfield to <br />Louisville, bringing over 350 new jobs <br />• Sundrop Fuel, a research and development alternative solar energy corporation <br />choose Louisville as its corporate headquarter <br />• The former State Farm building was redeveloped and has opened a number of <br />shops and restaurants in the McCaslin Corridor <br />• 282 Century Drive has completed a single story 65,000 s.f. office/flex building in <br />Centennial Valley <br />• GHX will be receiving Colorado First funding in 2008/2009 from the State of <br />Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade for job <br />training. These funds are awarded based upon GHX expanding in Colorado <br />• Conoco Phillips was recognized by the Metro Denver Economic Development <br />Corporation, our regional partner, for "Deal of the Year in 2008" <br />• Beef O Brady's a Florida based restaurant franchise is scheduled to open at the <br />Village Square Shopping Center is December. This is the first franchise operation <br />in the state of Colorado <br />• Promotech completed its expansion and hosted out of state corporate <br />representatives as well as State of Colorado and local representatives in an open <br />house in June. Promotech's opening showcased CTC to over 500 people during <br />the opening of this expansion <br />• Louisville Main Street Partners LLC received a BAP extension to accommodate <br />what is happening in today's economic conditions.
