721 La Farge Avenue Garage
SOCIAL HISTORY:
Information is from the Jefferson Place Survey (attached)
The Winkler/Dionigi family owned 721 La Farge for seventy-two years, from 1918 to
1990. John "Ring" Dionigi was a prominent citizen, running the town as its primary
administrator during the 1940s and 1950s. Also, Ring Dionigi's marriage to Lizzie
Winkler represented a combining of two cultures, Italian and Austrian, an occurrence
that, while not unheard of, was also not common at the time.
721 La Farge Avenue — 1948
3
