Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 14, 2017 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />Fahey informed the Commission that the Louisville oral histories were available on YouTube on <br />the Louisville Colorado Historical Museum page. <br />(1) Trice stated that the most pressing issue on the list was updating the Historic Preservation <br />Fund Resolutions for 2019. The fund has 10 more years of funding after the November <br />2017 vote and a bigger area to cover, pending Council approval. <br />(2) The Commission also needs to amend Louisville Code 15.36 regarding Demolition process <br />and alteration certificate criteria. <br />(3) The Commission needs to implement a plan to promote the Historic Preservation Fund and <br />the Revolving Loan Program. <br />(4) Goal 4, to complete Historic Contexts, needs new committee members in addition to Chair <br />Haley. <br />(5) Language for the interpretive signs for goal 5 will be coming to the Commission soon. <br />(6) The Commission has been invited to the First Friday Art Walk in May for Historic <br />Preservation Month. The Commission also needs to decide if they want to have a booth at <br />the farmers' market again this season. <br />(7) Potential projects include a State Historic Fund Application for the Center for the Arts and <br />for a digital survey, which staff is working on. <br />(8) Engaging and educating realtors needs a volunteer leader from the Commission. <br />(9) Trice is working with Lafayette on a co -training event focused on preserving postwar <br />architecture. <br />Fahey asked if the Commission needed to discuss fund allocations for the museum after the <br />November 2017 vote. <br />Trice responded that nothing would start regarding the November 2017 vote until January 1st <br />2019, which is why Commission and Council had to make these decisions before that deadline. <br />(1) Ulm volunteered to be a reviewer for historic context (goal 4.) <br />(2) Cyndi Thomas and Dickinson volunteered for goal 2. <br />(3) Chuck Thomas volunteered for goal 1. <br />(4) Fahey and Parris volunteered for goal 6. <br />(5) Haley volunteered for goals 1 and 3. <br />(6) Chuck Thomas volunteered for 1 and 2 and Trice listed him as an alternate for 2. <br />Trice asked if there was interest in doing the First Friday Art Walk in May. Cyndi Thomas stated <br />that the Commission could promote landmarking ceremonies during art walk. Haley and Fahey <br />voiced their support. <br />Haley asked the Commission for their opinions on doing the Farmers' Market again. She stated <br />that it was a boon to the Commission and Historic Preservation. <br />Chuck Thomas added that outreach could be combined with goal 3. <br />Trice stated that it was better to get involved in an existing event rather than making their own <br />event. <br />Haley asked what other events they could do. <br />Trice listed events at the Center for the Arts, movie nights, and street fair as possibilities. She <br />recommended that the subcommittee determine what other events HPC could do. <br />
