Deputy Schmidt informed the Authority the check written for March's sales tax payment had also been returned. Member Paige made a motion to table the renewal liquor license payment of Little Tokyo until the June 30, 2003 meeting so the entire Authority could be present. Member Kimmett seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Kimmett-yes, Paige-yes, Wilson-yes. All were in favor. Motion passed. POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT A. Incident Report - Blue Parrot (04/23/03) Member Paige felt the incident could have been handled in a more competent manner. She noted the suspect in question was served alcohol even though the manager suspected the customer might have been intoxicated before entering the establishment. The Authority discussed the incident further and felt no action could be taken. Member Wilson asked Detective Lanphere if there were any sting operations currently going on. Detective Lanphere stated no and explained it is not policy under the current administration to conduct sting operations unless there is an issue or problem. SECRETARY'S REPORT Deputy Schmidt asked the Authority if they would like a letter sent to Little Tokyo requesting payment in guaranteed funds for the returned check. Authority Attorney Bleau stated there was no reason why the Authority should not try to collect the money owed. AUTHORITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT Authority Attorney Bleau notified the Authority they might set a special meeting if a Show/Cause Hearing would be required for Little Tokyo.
