Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: May 12, 2003 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />returned. The bank informed her the account had been closed. No other information <br />was available. Deputy Schmidt informed the Authority the check written for March's <br />sales tax payment had also been returned. <br /> <br />Member Paige made a motion to table the renewal liquor license payment of Little <br />Tokyo until the June 30, 2003 meeting so the entire Authority could be present. <br />Member Kimmett seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Kimmett-yes, Paige-yes, <br />Wilson-yes. All were in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> <br />A. Incident Report - Blue Parrot (04/23/03) <br /> <br />Member Paige felt the incident could have been handled in a more competent <br />manner. She noted the suspect in question was served alcohol even though the <br />manager suspected the customer might have been intoxicated before entering <br />the establishment. <br /> <br />The Authority discussed the incident further and felt no action could be taken. <br /> <br />Member Wilson asked Detective Lanphere if there were any sting operations <br />currently going on. Detective Lanphere stated no and explained it is not policy <br />under the current administration to conduct sting operations unless there is an <br />issue or problem. <br /> <br />SECRETARY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Deputy Schmidt asked the Authority if they would like a letter sent to Little Tokyo <br />requesting payment in guaranteed funds for the returned check. Authority Attorney <br />Bleau stated there was no reason why the Authority should not try to collect the money <br />owed. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Authority Attorney Bleau notified the Authority they might set a special meeting if a <br />Show/Cause Hearing would be required for Little Tokyo.
