Mike
seconded. The motion was passed unanimously.
VI. Staff Updates-
A. Ember shared some bike bells, doggie bag dispensers, and dog water bowls
with the City of Louisville Open Space logo that can be given to citizens as positive re-
enforcement "thank-you" gifts when the ranger observes good etiquette. Helen asked
about the budget for this program. Ember said she'd have to check for the exact
number, but estimated they had spent about $300 for the dog related items.
B. Callahan Trail is still closed. A few months ago, the City of Lafayette replaced
a water main on the north side of the property, along Baseline Rd. This water line is
apparently damaged and leaking. Lafayette is being responsive to the problem and is
taking the initiative to repair the damage.
C. Approximately 52 people participated,
including a City of Louisville police officer in uniform and the ranger. 28 pounds of waste
was removed.
E. Staff will meet tomorrow with the CSU students doing a cheatgrass control
study using an herbicide called Esplande on Davidson Mesa. They will be sharing the
results of this study. Ember has asked CSU to present finding to OSAB.
F. The new education sign for Lake Park is currently being manufactured.
