B. If a vacancy occurs in the office of Mayor or Councilmember, the <br />City Council, by a majonty vote of the remaining members, shall appoint a person <br />who meets the qualifications of Section 2.02 030 to hold the office until the next <br />regular election, or if a statewide general election will occur before the next <br />regular election, until a special election to fill the vacancy, which shall be held on <br />the same date as the statewide general election <br />Sec. 2.02.060 — Mayor pro tem. <br />By the affirmative vote of a majonty of the entire Council, a <br />Councilmember shall be appointed as Mayor pro tem, for a two (2) year term, to <br />perform the responsibilities of the Mayor when the Mayor is absent or is <br />otherwise unable to perform the responsibilities of the Mayor. <br />Sec. 2.02.070 — Committees. <br />At the first regular meeting following each general municipal election, the <br />Council shall appoint the standing committees which it deems necessary <br />Sec. 2.02.080 — Action. <br />The Council shall act only by ordinance, resolution, or motion. Each <br />action shall be recorded in the minutes of the meeting. The Council may select the <br />appropnate form for its action, except where a particular form is required by the <br />Charter or this code. <br />Sec. 2.02.090 — Compensation. <br />A. The Mayor shall receive as full compensation for his or her <br />services, a salary of $13,320 00 per year, payable in monthly payments, and in <br />addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual membership to the <br />Louisville Recreation Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs <br />in which any premiums will be paid by the Mayor, and the option to contribute to <br />a 457 account through the City's retirement plan. <br />B Each Councilmember shall receive as full compensation for his or <br />her services the sum of $11,664.00 per year, payable in monthly payments, and in <br />addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual membership to the <br />Louisville Recreation Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs <br />in which any premiums will be paid by the Councilmember, and the option to <br />contribute to a 457 account through the City's retirement plan. <br />Sec. 2.02.100 — Meetings. <br />Ordinance No 1753, Senes 2018 <br />Page 5 of 62 <br />
