II: City, <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO- SINCE 1.878 <br />Youth Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />March 1, 2018 <br />Louisville Recreation & Senior Center <br />900 W Via Appia <br />6:30-8 PM <br />I. Call to Order — Chairperson Kaylix McClure called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />▪ Board Members Present: Megan Beasley, Caelis Hanna, Teddy Hart, Riley <br />MacQueen, Kaylix McClure, Kaelan Norgard, Hayley Obremski, Logan Pius, <br />Courtney Schumann <br />▪ Board Members Absent: Taitum Berryhill, Riley Miller (excused), Addison <br />Nakari (excused), Langley Nakari, Brooke Newell (excused), Ainsley Smith <br />(excused), Kendall Weideman <br />Staff Liaisons Present: Mandy Perera, Jessica Schwartz <br />Staff Liaisons Absent: Jay Keany <br />III. Approval of Minutes — The minutes from the February meeting were approved by all <br />members <br />IV. Approval of Agenda — The agenda was approved, noting that Lauren Trice has moved <br />her visit to the April meeting. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda — None <br />VI. Visit from Ember Brignull (Open Space Advisory Board) — Ember told us about some <br />current projects OSAB is working on, such as a new trail near Fireside Elementary, and a <br />project at Coyote Run. The board is concerned with resource management, and finding a <br />balance between parks and open space. Once of OSAB's major accomplishments was getting <br />a full-time ranger hired. Ember told us about an initiative they are promoting called Generation <br />Wild (aimed at getting youth outdoors) and offered us the opportunity to volunteer at an event <br />in May called Kids to Parks. <br />VII. Upcoming volunteer projects <br />• St. Patrick's Day event — Thurs., March 15 from 5pm-7pm at the Rec Center. <br />(Mandy will send out Sign Up Genius by the end of next week) <br />• April — Soup Kitchen, Thurs., April 19 <br />VIII.
