The
main structure was constructed between 1905 and 1906. There is no date on the shed on the
property, but it was present in a photo from 1948. The structure represents a built environment
of a group of people in an era of history that is culturally significant to Louisville. The
architecture has folk Victorian elements, has maintained its overall form, and has an outbuilding
typical of the 20th century. The social significance exemplifies cultural, political, economic, and
social heritage of the community. It was associated with the Harney family of Slovakia in an
Eastern European neighborhood. 613 Grant Avenue across the street is also landmarked.
City of Louisville
Department of Planning and Building Safety
749 Main StreetLouisville CO 80027
303.335.4592 (phone) 303.335.550 (fax) www.LouisvilleCO.gov
