It shall be unlawful for any <br />person on Open Space/Park land (i) to fail to keep any pet under their <br />custody, control or ownership on a leash (not exceeding 10 feet) and under <br />physical control, (ii) fail to immediately pick up, and immediately dispose in <br />a waste receptacle, any excrement deposited by any pet under their custody <br />control or ownership or (iii) bring or maintain any dog or other animal that <br />is known or deemed by City staff to be aggressive or in heat; failure to <br />comply could result in a permanent ban from City Open Space/ Parks. <br />1 <br />Exceptions to the requirements of subsection G, J, and K may be granted to <br />persons with disabilities, by permission from the Director, for the use of <br />single -rider, motorized and nonmotorized vehicles adapted for recreational <br />use by people with disabilities. City employees acting in the performance of <br />their duties and persons participating in City -sponsored activities, are exempt <br />form subsections G, J and K of this section. The areas as <br />designated by the Director of Community Services shall be of a residential <br />character or adjacent to a residential area or be areas adjacent to parks or <br />other facilities used by the public.
