Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />April 9, 2018 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />None <br />Reports of Commission <br />Commissioner Menaker discussed the Boulder Creek neighborhood item that <br />City Council discussed on March 20. The item was continued to the May 1, 2018 <br />meeting. <br />Business Matters of Commission <br />DELO Update <br />Economic Development Director DeJong and Justin McClure addressed this <br />subject stating there are several interests from restaurants and offices. <br />Approximately 50 apartment units will be leased out and an full occupancy is <br />anticipated for 2019. <br />550 S. McCaslin Update <br />Economic Development Director DeJong noted council desires an RFP to <br />engage a real estate consultant to analyze and provide recommendations for the <br />McCaslin Area. There are several factors in regards to zoning, funds, covenants, <br />condition of site, rules and regulations which all need to be visited. The study will <br />be conducted and hope to have those results in the Fall. Several expressed <br />concerns over rezoning and revenue issues. Director DeJong stated a staff is <br />working on the RFP. <br />Parking Structure RFP Update <br />Economic Development Director DeJong addressed the updated Parking <br />Structure RFP stating the owners of Voltage are having trouble financing their <br />new building at 608 Main, thus creating doubt for the exchange of land between <br />Voltage and the City. Members agreed they still want both design areas as a part <br />of the RFP. <br />Terraces on Main Street PUD Update <br />Economic Development Director DeJong noted the applicant has requested <br />additional time and Council will continue the discussion on May 1, 2018. Council <br />had concerns over the compatibility of the building with downtown, architecture <br />concerns, and concerns about parking. <br />Potential Downtown BID District mill levy: <br />Economic Development Director DeJong summarized the effort by downtown <br />property owners and businesses to consider a vote to create a mill levy to <br />generate funds for a marketing and promotion campaign. Council is scheduled <br />to get an update on the effort at their May 8, 2018 meeting. <br />Items for Upcoming Meetings <br />
