City gat <br />Im Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />LOUISVILLE REVITALIZATION <br />COMMISSION <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />MEMO SUMMARIZING BUSINESS MATTERS OF COMMISSION <br />MAY 14, 2018 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />SUMMARY: <br />Rather than preparing an individual memo for each discussion topic, staff has prepared <br />DISCUSSION: <br />DELO Update <br />As a regular item, staff and Delo representatives will give a brief update on the status of <br />the development. <br />Parking Structure RFP Update <br />The voluntary pre -meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 10 at 10am. Staff has <br />received interest from several firms. We will know more at the LRC meeting on the <br />attendance of the voluntary meeting. <br />Staff would like the LRC to discuss which two members would be willing to be on the <br />RFP review team with City Staff. Also, staff requests input into thoughts regarding filling <br />out the volunteers for the working group. <br />McCaslin Area Development Study <br />City Council at their May 15 meeting will discuss and decide on the draft RFP for a <br />McCaslin Area Development Study. The staff prepared guiding principles of the Study <br />are: <br />• Understand market trends and market supported development scenarios that <br />ensure the corridor continues to serve as the City's primary retail sales tax base. <br />• Identify and evaluate development restrictions and regulatory and policy barriers <br />to redevelopment and investment in the corridor. <br />• Ensure sustainable long-term fiscal balance and economic development of the <br />McCaslin corridor. <br />• Reflect residents' desired community character for the corridor in evaluation of <br />development scenarios and study recommendations. <br />The proposed scope of work is; <br />• Identify the Area's position in the retail, commercial, and residential real estate <br />• Review the rules and regulations upon properties in the area <br />• Understand and incorporate the public's input into desired investment and <br />redevelopment in the area <br />
