SUBJECT: DOWNTOWN PARKING STRUCTURE CONTRACT <br />DATE: JUNE 20, 2018 <br />PAGE3OF3 <br />6. Review the concept parking plans with the LRC and based on the LRC and <br />public comments select a preferred concept for each site for further development <br />and refinement. <br />7. Host a public meeting to obtain feedback from the community on the preferred <br />parking structure concept plans. Incorporate changes as directed by the LRC <br />based on the LRC and community comments. <br />8. Perform value engineering as necessary based on the LRC and public input, <br />which could occur at various stages of the project. <br />9. In conjunction with the LRC, determine a preferred operating method for the <br />parking structure and determine and provide first-year and annual operating and <br />maintenance expenses for the two concepts. <br />10.Attend eight meetings in Louisville, including the public meetings mentioned <br />above, one design meeting with the LRC, one formal presentation to the LRC, <br />one formal presentation to City Council, and monthly progress/working meetings <br />with the LRC. Issue meeting minutes electronically after each meeting. <br />11. Provide a final report outlining the work and final concept plans. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached a contract with Desman, Inc. for the <br />conceptual design parking structure project. Should LRC approve it, the contract must <br />also be approved by the Louisville City Council in accordance with Cooperation <br />Agreement between the two organizations. City Council is scheduled to act on the <br />contract at their July 3, 2018 meeting. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1) Contract with Desman, Inc. <br />
