• Chapter 15.16 – 2018 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE111 <br />• Sec. 15.16.010. - Adoption. <br />The International Plumbing Code, 2018 Edition, published by the International Code Council, 4051 <br />West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, Illinois, 60478-5795, is adopted by reference thereto and <br />incorporated into and made part of the Louisville Municipal Code. The purpose and subject matter of the <br />International Plumbing Code, include comprehensive provisions regulating plumbing installations in or in <br />connection with new and existing structures and providing International plumbing standards for the purpose <br />of protecting the public health, safety and general welfare. <br />• Sec. 15.16.020. - Amendments. <br />The following amendments set forth in sections 15.16.030 through 15.16.130 are made to the 2018 <br />International Plumbing Code. <br />• Sec. 15.16.030. - Section 101.1 amended—Title. <br />Section 101.1 of the 2018 International Plumbing Code is amended to insert "the City of Louisville" so <br />the section will read: <br />101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Plumbing Code of the City of Louisville, <br />hereinafter referred to as "this code." <br />• Sec. 15.16.040. - Section 106.6.2 amended—Schedule of permit fees. <br />Section 106.6.2 of the 2018 International Plumbing Code is amended to read as follows: <br />106.6.2 Schedule of permit fees. For buildings, structures, electrical, gas, mechanical and <br />plumbing systems or alterations requiring a permit, a fee for each permit shall be paid in accordance <br />with a fee schedule adopted by resolution of the City Council from time to time. <br />• Sec. 15.16.050. - Section 106.6.3 amended—Refunds. <br />Section 106.6.3 of the 2018 International Plumbing Code is amended to read as follows: <br />106.6.3 Refunds. The Building Official is authorized to establish a refund policy. <br />• Sec. 15.16.060. - Section 108.4 amended—Violations. <br />Delete Section 108.4 of the 2018 International Plumbing Code in its entirety and replace with the <br />following: <br />108.4 Violations. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, <br />enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any <br />building or structure or cause or permit the work to be done, in violation of the provisions of this <br />chapter or the terms of the code or standards adopted and incorporated in this chapter. Any person <br />convicted of a violation of any provision of this chapter or of the provisions of the code or standards <br />adopted and incorporated in this chapter shall be subject to the penalty provided in section 1.28.010. <br />Page 1of3 <br />
