Machado moved the <br />consent agenda be approved. Lipton seconded. All in favor. Consent <br />agenda approved. <br />Authority Business <br />A. Conversation with Chief Hayes <br />Chief Hayes reported on staffing and noted the department has started 12 <br />hour shifts which results in having more officers on the street. <br />He reported on several incidents in town including two DUI arrests today. <br />Drugs, alcohol and mental health issues continue to keep the department <br />busy. <br />He noted a restaurant owner in town contacted him concerned about the <br />Street Faire and alcohol service. The restaurant owner wanted assurance the <br />volunteers are being trained. The department continues to provide server <br />training for Street Faire volunteers. <br />He reported on a recent officer involved shooting in town and gave the <br />details he could on the death of an individual on the train tracks. <br />Police Department Reports <br />A.
