City <br />f <br />Im Louisville <br />COLORADO - SINCE 1878 <br />Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday July 11, 2018, 7:00pm <br />Louisville Public Library: First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />I. Call to Order <br />Laura called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: Helen Moshak, Laura Scott Denton, Missy Davis, Mike <br />Schantz, Fiona Garvin, David Blankinship, Peter Gowen <br />Board Members Absent: Jim Gibb <br />City Council Members Present: none <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Peter moved to approve the agenda as written. David seconded. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes <br />Peter moved to approve the minutes as written. Laura seconded. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />V. Staff Updates— Ember <br />A. Coyote Run slope update: No significant earth movement noted by monitoring <br />devices over the past 3 months. Design Build Cost Estimate is in process & will <br />be submitted to City Council. <br />B. Fishing Pond monies were requested in the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) <br />budget. If the CIP is approved by City Council, staff will seek grant funding. <br />Possible project start date of 2021 is being recommended by City Manager for <br />City Council review. <br />C. Encroachment Campaign: Plans and findings to date will be reviewed by Tracy <br />Winfree, the new Parks & Recreation Director (who starts on Monday 7/16) and <br />by the City Manager. Patrol of Ward 1 has been completed with 68 <br />encroachments logged to date. Rangers are halfway through surveying Ward 2. <br />Notifications have not been sent yet - they will be sent after new director's <br />review. <br />D. Farmers Market volunteering on last Saturday of each month; Contact Ember if <br />interested. <br />E. Education Program update: participation remains high. 11 people attended Pull <br />for Colorado event on July 7, and over 60 people RSVP'd (for 20 spaces) for <br />Matchless Mine talk on July 10; staff plans to schedule a second program for <br />City of Louisville <br />Parks & Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4735 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br />2 <br />
