Julie is looking forward to next year and we all
thank her for her efforts and dedication.
VII) Jim's report:
• Our current checking account balance as of 10/31/08 is $18,837. A
large chunk of that is designated money for projects such as Art in
the Park. The RMCAA invoice was sent.
• Action Item: An invoice from Jim for $15k is needed by the city
council.
• Lynn reported that she has a couple of invoices to be paid by the
end of the year and turned over printing related invoices to Kathy.
• There will be a final meeting with Tara the accountant in December.
Jim invited any members to attend with him.
• The LCC post office box is paid for. The post office box is moving tc
the "new" post office after January 17. The post office box number
will remain the same. Jim has the key.
VIII) Frost update
• There is a 4th LCC spot open.
• Frost reported that LCC might consider putting together fundraising
and sponsorship items for sale all in one place with the city items.
These items could be available at the Street Faire, Winter Skate,
etc. Julie K offered that we would need to keep a separate cash
box at events if we decided to sell items at events.
• Lynn reported that there would be an opportunity for people to
order cards with artwork from the entries at the Young Artist's
event.
IX) City staff update -Kathy Martin update
• Kathy reported that the LCC got a check for $300 from the Coal
Creek Crossing event over Labor Day.
• Kathy will update the bylaws and number of LCC members with
Julie K.'s help.
• Action Item: Kathy and Julie to update bylaws.
• There was some discussion about the Louisville Arts Center and
the fact that the stage ends up in the office sometimes, which is
awkward. Stage should go in the kitchen.
• Action Item: Kathy will investigate the possibility of changing the
locks for the LAC.
• Kathy reported that Mike and Phil do the Maintenance work for the
whole city and often do a lot for setup for LCC events.
• A motion put forth by Maryan and seconded by Lynn to buy gift
cards for the maintenance city staff as thanks for their hard work
was approved by all.
• Julie Seydel update on events calendar:
