reasonable, justified, minimal, incidental or temporary - resulting from state or local <br />govemment action could trigger a claim for the taxpayers to pay; and <br />WHEREAS, similar efforts have been attempted and defeated in Washington <br />state, and repealed in Oregon after billions of dollars of claims and high costs to the <br />state over its three year life; and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment 74 is in direct conflict with the City of Louisville's <br />legislative priority which "opposes any efforts that limit local government authority to <br />regulate land development," and would directly interfere with the legislative priority for <br />"investments in the maintenance and expansion of the state and regional transportation <br />network, including roads, bridges and transit projects, as well as improved multi -modal <br />strategies that increase transportation options, improve mobility and reduce congestion <br />and greenhouse gas emissions." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville opposes Amendment 74 and strongly urges a vote of NO on Amendment 74. <br />RESOLVED this 17th day of September, 2018. <br />(6ff <br />Robert P.
