11: City,/ <br />im Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />BUSINESS RETENTION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />OCTOBER 1, 2018 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />McCaslin Area RFP <br />The City's hired consultants, EPS and Trestle Strategy, have begun the McCaslin Area <br />market study project. They are currently working on the market analysis and <br />stakeholder outreach components. They are planning to have a booth at the farmer's <br />market in the coming weeks. City Council is currently scheduled to receive an update at <br />their October 16, 2018 meeting. Staff will keep BRaD informed of upcoming input <br />opportunities for the project. <br />More information can be found at the webpage below: <br />https://www.engagelouisvilleco.org/mccaslin-parcel-o-redevelopment-study <br />Downtown Parking Structure Conceptual Design <br />The Louisville Revitalization Commission is narrowing down design concepts for a <br />downtown parking structure. The options can be found at the webpage below. Desman <br />Associates are preparing fagade options for the LRC to review at their October 8, 2018 <br />meeting. <br />http://www.louisvilleco.gov/business/economic-development/parking-structure-rfp <br />Phillips 66 Parcel <br />The Phillips 66 / former Storagetek property in southeast Louisville is again on the <br />market for purchase. Some groups are interested in the site and Phillips 66's brokers <br />are in discussions with different parties. Staff will be informed if or when a purchase <br />contract is executed with a new group. <br />Small Business Saturday <br />City Staff is working on a thoughtful campaign to assist in promoting Small Business <br />Saturday (Nov. 24, 2018). <br />We will be promoting Small Business Saturday through a new page on our website: <br />(www.LouisvilleCO.gov/SmallBusinessSaturday). Businesses will be able to submit <br />their SBS promotion/teaser/special/who we are to be included in the participating <br />businesses list. Emails will start going out in October to the Chamber, DBA and City <br />business contacts to encourage registration and share info. Staff is working on a <br />logo that will be added to the page. The City is also planning to set up childcare at <br />the Library on 11/24 for shoppers to access for a small fee. <br />
