DRAFT 8/15/00 ORDINANCE NO. SERIES 2000 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1997 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE; ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO SUCH CODE; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ADOPTION OF SUCH CODE; ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SUCH CODE; AND REPEALING PRIOR ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT THEREWITH. WHEREAS,national plumbing and electrical standards have been developed and are from time to time amended and updated, and the City currently has in effect the International Plumbmg Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to repeal the International Plumbing Code and adopt by reference the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code as adopted by the State Plumbing Board, and WHEREAS, the City of Louisville Building Code Board of Appeals and City staff have reviewed the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code as adopted and amended by the State Plumbing Board, and WHEREAS, the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code has been submitted to the City Council and the City Council has determined that the code should be adopted with amendments as set forth herein, and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said code and amendments; and WHEREAS,the City is authonzed to adopt such code pursuant to state law, mcluding but not limited to C.R.S sections 12-58-104.5, 31-15-601 et sew.,and 31-16-201 et seq, and WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the Uniform Plumbing Code, as adopted herein, is protective of the public health, safety and general welfare. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE,COLORADO: Section 1. Subsections C and D of Section 13 12.020 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are stricken thfeugh) 1
