Revitalization Commission
Minutes
October 8, 2018
Motion was made by Menaker, seconded by Lathrop, to approve the 2019 legal
contract with Kelly P.C. Motion approved unanimously.
• Parking Structure Concept Design Discussion
Hoshi Engineer with Desman, reviewed the work to date. The options reviewed
again were the E/W basic design and the N/S basic design. Andy Johnson
prepared facade concepts for each of those designs.
Commissioner thoughts on the E/W orientation were:
1) The land swap is not guaranteed, so may not be possible to build should
Voltage not move forward
2) Lower height is appreciated
Commissioner thoughts on the N/S orientation were:
1) The height exceeds the transition zone amounts
2) Is it possible to go another level underground to help minimize height?
3) Is it possible to take the tall part on the north and move it underground?
4) North stairwell is tall
LRC Members would like to go to City Council for feedback prior to a public open
house / forum.
Members would like the consultant to create a variation of Option #3 to take some of
the 4th level and move to the basement. Also try to relocate the north stairwell away
from Front Street to minimize its height. Reduce the overall height of the structure
without reducing parking space count.
Discussion Items for Tuesday, November 13, 2018 Regular Meeting
• Parking structure
• DELO Update
• 2019 LRC budget
Commissioners Comments:
None
Adjourn:
The meeting adjourned at 9:03 am.
