the following aerial photo from the Carnegie Branch Library for Local History in Boulder, which
is believed to have been taken in the early 1940s, shows the house in its new location at 509 La
Farge with few houses near it. It appears that the house did not yet have an addition.
August LeComte (1886-1951) was born in France and came to the US as a child with his family
in about 1890. He married Nellie Bodhaine (1889-1962) in 1918. She had been born in
Colorado. August worked as a coal miner. Their daughter, Alice LeComte Morrison, lived from
1919 until 2009.
The following images include the photo and the ground layout sketch from the 1948 County
Assessor card:
4
