Vic Le Comte (1901-1980) was born in Marshall, Colorado to French -born parents. He worked
as a coal miner, then worked for Public Service, and retired in 1967. Margaret I. Le Comte
(1906-1991) was also born in Colorado.
The following photo of the house and a ground layout sketch are from the Boulder County
Assessor card that appears to be dated 1950:
GROUND PLAN SKETCH
lllllllllll ,1i.TT TTITTiTT
-J
30
lllllllllllllllllllllllllll
FRONT
In 1957, Vic Le Comte transferred ownership to himself and his wife jointly. In 1967, at the time
of Vic's retirement, they sold the property to Richard and Shirley Bodhaine. The Bodhaines
recall that the house when they purchased it in 1967 was heated by a coal furnace and did not
have a gas line.
In 1975, the Bodhaines sold the house to Tom and Janice Mudrock, who were the owners until
this year. The current owners are William and Jean Durbahn.
The preceding research is based on a review of relevant and available online County property records, census
records, oral history interviews, Louisville directories, and Louisville Historical Museum maps, files, and obituary
records.
