GROUND PUN GRETCH <br />�M[fun 11V14f[R ar,v1.11i <br />Gene Barday was born in Louisville in 1922 and died in 1992. He and Beverly Moore <br />graduated from Louisville High School in 1941 and 1942. They married in 1945. <br />Gene Barday served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he operated <br />the B&B Floor and Wall Covering Store in Denver for several years. In this business, he <br />was partners with his brother, Bud Barday, while their mother, Amelia, worked as their <br />bookkeeper. In the 1960s, Gene Barday became a Louisville police officer, retiring in <br />about 1980. He was also a fireman for the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department and was <br />active in the American Legion, VFW, and Elks Lodge. <br />Beverly Moore Barday, who was born in 1924, was the daughter of Alvin Clement <br />"Clem" and Nell Moore of Louisville. Clem Moore worked as the mine clerk at the <br />Monarch Mine. Among his responsibilities was the handling of payroll. <br />Later Owners <br />Later owners, after Beverly Barday sold 620 Garfield in 1981, were Johnny and Mary Lou <br />Kranker, Scott Ross, Jean Ross, Jean Lewis, and Stephen Lewis.
