Renewal Application — LSL LLC d/b/a Melting Pot Restaurant Louisville — Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License — 732 Main Street Carlson called for any changes to the consent agenda. Watson moved the consent agenda be approved. Lipton seconded. All in favor. Consent agenda approved. Authority Business A. Special Events Permit Application — Sister Carmen Community Center — 951 Spruce/surrounding area — November 22, 2018 9AM to Noon Chairperson Carlson called the item and noted staff recommended approval. The organizers of the Turkey Trot were present and noted they have outgrown the beer garden at Por and now would like to obtain a special event permit for the alcohol service. The event is a run and also a giving event to provide Sister Carmen with donations. The Authority members discussed the statutory requirement for having snacks available at a special event serving alcohol. The organizers noted Bittersweet and Twelve Degree would be open and there will be persons giving away snack bars. The alcohol service will be minimal and the crowds disappear quickly. The organizers agreed to have some snacks available. Lipton moved the Authority approve the Special Events Permit Application for Sister Carmen Community Center. Kaufman seconded. All in favor. B. Conversation with Chief Hayes Chief Hayes was unable to attend. C. Proposed fee increases Secretary Hanson noted this is part of an annual review of fees and staff is proposing an increase of 5% for the application fees for new and transferred liquor licenses.
