Level of Significance: National: State: Local: xx 42. Statement of Significance This building has been individually listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is historically significant, relative to National Register Criterion A, for its association with commercial development in downtown Louisville through the first half of the twentieth century. The building is architecturally significant as well, under National Register Criterion C, as an excellent example of corner storefront commercial building dating from the very early years of the twentieth century. The building is also Louisville's only remaining commercial building with a pressed metal facade. 43. Assessment of historic physical integrity related to significance: Considering its changes in use over the years, from a bank, to a post office, to a grocery store, to a restaurant, this building has retained a remarkable share of its historical integrity.
